Lots of choices here! Three fine dining Establishments are: STEEPLES RESTAURANT- Shawnigan Lake (10 minute Drive) , MASTHEAD RESTAURANT- Cowichan Bay (12 minute Drive) &  GENOA BAY RESTAURANT (30 minute drive but definitely worth it !!)

Finally it is not fancy but the food is good and it located on Shawnigan Lake with million dollar lake veiws is THE GALLEY BISTRO (250) 733-2547 (12 minute Drive from Forest Reflections.

Just down the road from us is ISLANDLIFE FARMS operated  by Ian & Collette Taylor. They specialize in Alpaca ranching and also sell the best eggs in the valley . (we use them here!!) CLICK HERE for more info.

FISHING ANYONE ?

Enjoy the numerous lakes, rivers, and streams in the Cowichan Valley. Trout, Steelhead, and salmon abound. forest Reflections is a short 15 inute drive from the COWICHAN RIVER and the KOKSILIAH RIVER  runs parrallel to Kingburne and is accessible thorugh the municipal park at the end of the road.

LIKE TROUT FISHING? ELLISON LAKE TROUT RANCH  offers a Private Lake stocked with rainbow trout on a picturesque  12 acre estate  and best of all no licence required. Spincast or fly flyfish is a great experience for everyone. Don't have any fishing gear?-no problem! Owner BARRY also offers Rod & Reel Rentals and Tackle / Bait sales on site. PREFER SALTWATER FISHING and those big Salmon!. Cowichan bay is a 10 minute drive from Forest Reflections where there are numerous charter operators and rentals. GULF ISLAND EXPLORERS LTD is a professional fishing Charter out of Chemainus,BC (30 minute drive from Forest Reflections) featuring Fishing Charters/Diving Charters/Sightseeing Tours.

GOLFER'S PARADISE

If you love to golf then you are in the right place staying at Forest Reflections. We are close to two World Class Golf Courses and within an hours drive of many others. ARBUTUS RIDGE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is only a 10-12 minute drive from Forest Reflections and features incredible Ocean views and wonderful Club & Restaurant. COWICHAN VALLEY GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is located just south of Duncan and is only a 15 minute Drive from Forest Reflections. Professionally designed this semmi-private club is a golfer's delight.

THEATRE ANYONE?

Would you like a night out at the theatre? It's only a short half hour to Forty minute drive from Forest Reflections to the Internationally famous Chemainus Theatre Festival   in Chemainus. The Theatre features a fine restaurant with Dinner & Theatre packages available. The 2006 season features 3 different productions including "My Fair Lady".
